The Danes are building the Spica rocket themselves.Tuesday 8/4/26 At the dawn of the space age in the 1950s, nations built rockets and sent astronauts into space. Since then, major companies—such as Virgin Galactic and Blue Origin—have built rockets and sent astronauts into space. Now, we are heading into space relying purely on amateur efforts. The Spica project has been underway since 2008, with the goal of safely sending an amateur astronaut into space. If the project succeeds, Denmark will become the fourth nation to send its own citizens into space on its own rocket. The other nations are the USA, Russia, and China.
